Empowering Young Creatives through Global Arts and STEAM Education

We are thrilled to announce the launch of the Singapore International Arts Tournament (SIAT) 2025 in Laos — a transformative opportunity for young Lao artists to express their creativity on an international stage.

This initiative not only celebrates artistic talent but also champions the essential role of the arts in 21st-century education. As we welcome SIAT to Laos, we proudly align with the global shift from STEM to STEAM, integrating the Arts into Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics to promote a more holistic and human-centered learning experience.

What is SIAT?

SIAT 2025 is a premier international youth art competition organized by the Singapore International Children’s Media (SICM), under the auspices of the International Ministry of Youth Leadership (Singapore). It is co-organized by the Federation of Arts Society Singapore (FASS), Youth Century International Arts Education Centre (YCAC), and the Singapore International Math Contests Centre (SIMCC).

The competition brings together:

• 100+ international institutions

• 200+ leading artists

• Participants from over 40 countries

It’s more than an art contest — it’s a celebration of imagination, cultural dialogue, and interdisciplinary learning.

Why SIAT is Different

Unlike traditional art competitions that focus solely on technique or visual appeal, SIAT strikes a unique balance between artistic expression, conceptual thinking, and interdisciplinary relevance. Open to students from Kindergarten to Grade 12, SIAT encourages original work across various mediums, including:

• Drawing & Painting (Oil, Acrylic, Watercolor)

• Digital Art & Creative Design

• Sketching & Comics

• Calligraphy & Mixed Media

This year’s theme, “My AI New World,” invites students to explore the future through the lens of art and artificial intelligence, blending creativity with technology in compelling, thought-provoking ways.

Incorporating the arts into STEM transforms it into STEAM — a powerful framework that fosters creativity, critical thinking, emotional intelligence, and real-world problem-solving. STEAM prepares students to thrive in a world where innovation requires both analytical and imaginative skills.

• Qualify for advanced rounds such as the International Junior Arts Olympiad (IJAO) in STEAM AHEAD 2025
  High achievers will be invited to represent their country in extended competitions and global showcases.

  Discover how art intersects with technology, culture, and innovation across the world.

• Be eligible for the 60th National Day Art Exhibition in Singapore
  Gold, Silver, and Bronze award winners will have the honor of presenting their work at one of Singapore’s most prestigious national exhibitions.

Private Candidate Registration: Students can register directly with us by filling out the form here and submitting the required fee.
