Singapore and Asian Schools Math Olympiad

The Singapore and Asian Schools Math Olympiad (SASMO) was established in 2006 and has since grown to become one of the largest math competitions in Asia. To date, over 700,000 students from more than 10,000 schools have participated in SASMO, making it a highly respected and competitive platform for young mathematicians. In 2025, SASMO continues to expand its reach, with participation from over 50 countries and territories.

Designed by a team of experienced educators and Olympiad specialists, SASMO bridges the gap between school mathematics and pure Olympiad-style problems. The contest challenges students with a mix of familiar concepts and thought-provoking problems, encouraging them to apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills. This approach helps students develop a deeper understanding of mathematics while strengthening their Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS).

SASMO is more than just a competition; it is an opportunity for students to unlock their potential, enhance their mathematical abilities, and gain confidence in tackling complex problems. By participating, students not only improve in school mathematics but also prepare themselves for more advanced mathematical challenges in the future.
