Online Format:
We regret to inform you that due to the recent tragic events in Türkiye, we have decided to shift our STEAM AHEAD participation for Laos to an online format instead of traveling to Turkey. The safety and security of our students, parents, and team members are our top priorities, and given recent circumstances, we believe this is the best course of action.
While a few countries will still be participating onsite, we have chosen to take a more cautious approach and ensure a secure experience for all our participants. Therefore, we are now opening online registrations for three events: Math, Science, and Informatics.
Important Updates for the Online Contest:
Event Package Costs: Students participating online will not be required to pay for the event package and will only need to cover the contest fee.
Participation in Team Events: For VIJSO and IJIO competitions, online participants will not be able to join the team events, as these require onsite collaboration for team projects.
IJCO Participation: Students can participate in the IJCO event both online and onsite, pending final approval from the National University of Singapore (NUS).
Overall Championship: Please note that the Overall Championship will only be awarded to onsite participants, as it requires scores from both individual and team rounds. Additionally, the award will only be granted in grades with at least 50 participants.
Awardees will receive medals and certificates, and all participants will be issued participation certificates.
Thank you for your understanding and continued support. Should you have any questions, please feel free to reach out.
